Important - Health Canada has issued a recall on the birth control product called Alysena 28.
Alysena®-28 is the generic form of Alesse®. The product potentially contains two weeks of placebo (sugar pills) instead of one week, which increases the possibility of unplanned pregnancy.
If you, or anyone you know has filled a prescription of Alesse® or Alysena®-28, between December 1, 2012 and April 12, 2013, please see a pharmacist to determine whether your prescription is affected by this recall.
