1. What services are offered at a Peel Public Health Healthy Sexuality Clinic?

Peel Public Health Healthy Sexuality Clinics provide these no-hassle counselling and confidential services:

  • Birth control
  • STI testing and treatment
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Emergency contraception (morning after pills)
  • Anonymous HIV/AIDS testing, including the HIV Rapid Test
  • Referrals for adoption, abortion and prenatal resources
  • Needle exchange services

2. Is the Healthy Sexuality Clinic a walk-in clinic?

Appointments are not always required at a Peel Public Health Healthy Sexuality Clinic.  For more information, contact one our clinics located in Mississauga, Brampton or Caledon.

3. What do I bring to my clinic appointment?

You will be asked for your health card when you check in for your appointment. If you don’t have a health card, no problem – you will still receive service through our clinic. For confidentiality purposes, your Health Card is NOT required for anonymous HIV/AIDS testing.

4. What is FREE at the clinic?

Peel Public Health Healthy Sexuality Clinics offer a wide range of free products and services:

  • Treatment for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea and Syphilis
  • Condoms and lubricant
  • Dental dams
  • STI testing
  • HIV/AIDS testing
  • Needle exchange services

5. What is cheap at the clinic?

Peel Public Health Healthy Sexuality Clinics offer a wide range of products at a reduced cost as well:

  • Birth Control Pills - $12
  • Depo Provera Injection - $25
  • Emergency Contraception Pill (ECP)/morning after pill - $12
  • Contraceptive foam - $12
  • Flagyl – used to treat Bacterial Vaginosis
    • One dose treatment - FREE
    • One week treatment - $12
  • Intrauterine Device (IUD) - $70
  • Transdermal Contraceptive Patch (the Patch ) - $10

If you need to purchase products from our clinics (e.g., birth control pills), please note that most healthy sexuality clinics accept cash and debit cards, except the clinics in Malton and Bolton that only take cash. Sorry no cheques or credit cards.
